My girlfriend is wanting to go hunting this year, and she hasn't taken the mandatory hunter's ed training.  Because of her work schedule it makes taking an actual classroom training almost impossible. While I know it will cost a little more, which isn't an issue. I just have concerns if this site is legit for Texas.

*****EDIT*****

Found out Hunter-ed.com is legit from TPWD's website.  G/F successfully completed the course and paid the $29.90 fee.

Here's the TPW site that links to Hunter-ed and other acceptable online courses: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/outdoor-learning/hunter-education/online-course-for-certification

For those with "youts," notice that the online-only course is for ages 17+

While Hunter-ed.com is legit, it was almost twice as expensive as www. texashuntered.com that only charges $15.

Not sure but I'd be interested to know.  Last year I signed my two nephews up for the TPWD online training and they only had to complete a 6 hour class for the field portion.  Was a waste of time.  Got a niece that needs to take it this year and I'd rather do it all online.

Would also like to hear.

OP you can defer the hunter's ed one time when you first get a license.  Or at least I did it that way a couple years ago.  So you can hunt this year and then take the class when available for next year.

Yes it is.  I completed the courses and got my hunter ed certificate without leaving the house.

All well, my girl is GTG now. Maybe someone can learn from my mistake and save some money
