WTF... 1/3 of the way the way through June and the furnace is still coming on
|
Born in Oregon, and spent the last 14 years up here. Might not be a native, but I could give two shits about the weather. Never could understand folks up here that complained about the cold in the winter (which dosn't really get that cold) and then turn around and bitch about the heat in the summer (which really dosn't get that hot). It's all the same to me. |
Sounds like by "up here" you mean west of the Cascades. I've seen as high as 112 and as low as -30 w/o the wind chill factor on the other side. Yes, there are WA natives here. |
x2 WA native, born and raised. Ive lived on both sides of the state and I even lived for 2 years in Montana so Ive seen colder, and warmer. Its a fluke season, but look on the bright side at least its not 100 degrees with our same humidity... |
x3..born in Pullman. |
X4 Born in Anacortes, raised in Bothell... ETA: 99.9% of the time, June is hot and sunny from the 1st until whatever day the "last day of school" is. THEN it would rain until just after July 4th... just when we would head out on our family boat for a 2 week vacation... drip drip drip... |
Bothell, huh? I went to high school in Bothell, well Kenmore, but I lived in Bothell. Inglemoor Alumni here |
No way... I went to Kenmore Elem, Kenmore JH & Inglemoor! There's at least another Inglemoor alumni in the crowd... GunnyG. I graduated in '83 though.... |
It's true! My birthday is Sept 26th, and my whole life, I swear I was wearing shorts in every birthday picture ever taken!! |
Nice! Good to know there are others in the HTF. Im a bit on the younger side Im the class of 04' but an alum is an alum |
'04?? Go Vikings!! Another class of '83 here... What was your mom's maiden name, just in case she went there too.... |
Go vikings! haha My mom Graduated in Kennewick, so no go there. I moved to Bothell/Kenmore in 2000. Im just finishing up at Western Currently, I am slated to graduate at the end of summer |
Yes, by "up here" I mean on the wet side. I've lived in places that have mirrored the conditions you list, and my point remains valid. |
ah yes a loop hole, maybe if theres no summer I dont have to pay summer quarter tuition... no you got me thinking, haha |
