"Three Democratic senators up for re-election in 2018 in states won by Trump last year - Indiana's Joe Donnelly, West Virginia's Joe Manchin and North Dakota's Heidi Heitkamp - voted for Gorsuch. Republican Senator Johnny Isakson missed the vote while recovering from back surgery."

Man, that is a historic vote for a Republican to miss. My brother told me that when he worked for Goldwater Sr., he saw members wheeled in wheel chairs and hospital beds for important votes. That was then and this now, I suppose.

This picture tells all you need to know about ole Johnny.  He is with our ex pos senator saxby laughing with the thankfully dead Ted Kennedy about how they were going to ram an amnesty down our throats.  He is not the conservatives friend and needs to be voted out of offices.

If I remember correctly he's not been in Washington the last few weeks after having some kind of back operation. It was in the news a while back. I wasn't surprised he missed the vote, the last time I heard (a few weeks back) he wasn't scheduled to be back in Washington until after Easter I believe they had said.

Old news report about back surgery: 2/20/17  back surgery #1

Apparently he needed a second follow-up surgery, this date 3/15/17: back surgery #2

It may not be all bad that he can't get to Washington to cast any votes, or swing any deals.....
