Kind of a hail mary attempt here but I'm getting desperate. I'm looking for job leads in the upstate area. I'm striking out getting any traction because i dont think anyone wants to interview for someone not in the area. To be fair i dont blame them new england people stink. But I've downsized my rental house I could be in SC in 2 weeks if i got an offer. I live in Maine and we have been overrun with Massachusetts transplants (vermin) the state went from a good place to raise a family to as bad as ny or ma. I'm mid 40s have done auto claims for 10 years, ran a body shop for 5, did electric utility field work for 4 and have been an analyst for payroll at a large energy service company for 2 years now. Ideally I do like payroll but i was exceptional at auto estimating a good shop that isnt a whore for insurance companies would interest me. So on the off chance anyone reading this has an opening let me know. Thank you. |

I run a body shop in Columbia. Commercial truck medium and heavy duty. Need a body man/fabricator. ETA I did not finish reading before I posted. I do not need an estimator at the moment, but if you are open to going on the floor we can talk. Flat rate is possible for “a” techs and my flat rate guys are killing it. |

Also insurance companies are always looking for people to go to vehicle damage, roof damage, ect assessment. |

I hear you on needing techs it was part of the reason I walked away from running a shop employees that showed up and just did average work was rarer than hens teeth. |

I ran a decent sized shop (3.5 million sales a year) for a regional mso and the insurance company might as well have been a partner dictating how we operated. |
