Hmm.

Word on the street (from Huggy Bear, of course) is that it's an ultra low-budget remake, potentially testing the waters for higher budget follow-ups. Usage of older style costuming would be consistent with an early-years Dredd. Karl Urban plays Dredd - and apparantly won't take off his helmet.

Now my very  good mate Kev Walker did the robot and gun designs for the Stalone movie version. As well as illustrating a huge number of 2000AD covers and strips.

In many ways the first film worked hard to be faithful to the comics. This one looks like they're going for a bit of a "Batman-esque dark & gritty reboot", which doesn't entirely gel with the concept of Dredd. He should already be dark and gritty - in contrast to the bright and garish society around him.

I'm hoping its set in the Cursed Earth, that would be good. The Angel gang etc... although they would need to fuck the Gronk character right off, he would be crap.

Rogue Trooper would make an awsome movie also. Or ABC Warriors

The franchise potential for Dredd movies is epic, but they have to get the first movie right.

I'm hoping a Halo movie will eventually be made, now that would be awesome.

So which character in 2000AD said;

"there's no justice, there's just us"?

Easy now, I've heard they're as finely tuned as the "A-Team" - who also went for 5 seasons without hitting what they were aiming at

I generally hit whatever the gun's pointed at. Where it's pointed isn't necessarily where I think it's pointed though...

Strontium Dog would be good, but Rogue Trooper would be better.

Talking of pointing guns and hitting targets, I was amused to see the new Captain America advert in the paper today. A line of people shooting different guns. All good so far. But the guy on the left is looking up and to the left and yet his gun is being fired downwards.
