Seriously, you are genny powered out there? That has to suck. Especially since you've been out there a few weeks. Thats a lot of gas Pssshh.. Doyon pays for the Jet-A to run our shit... By the end of this job, we will have used over 50,000 gallons of Jet-A and AP-4/Jet-B (helicopters) Right now we are using roughly 400 gallons a day in camp, over 30 oil drip stoves, skid steer, zoom boom, 2 trucks and 2 generators. Even the Villages run on generators... no other way. |

Who is the power company out there? Or, are they just village owned? No familiar with who handles their power. We take care of AVEC, and some NSB village units. |

Village owned I beleive. A local is in charge of them and keeping them running. This position has been held by a new person every year because they keep stealing fuel.. Bout to run out of people to hire, ha. Damn. We deal with several that are village owned, and man, they do get neglected. They are supposed to be held to a standard, for obvious health and safety reasons. That just sucks for contractors like when they are out there trying to get shit done in the middle of winter...and the fucking lights go out on the one set that runs
Poor bastards only have enough money for fuel (barely) so the bailing wire comes out to keep them running. Hang in there brother! |

Doosan is great unit. Hit me up if you need another. I can beat CMIs price Haha, we rented it from them, they had to buy one, get it shipped up and then we ended up just buying it for slightly over what the rental was going to be on it for 3 months... Crazyness.. |
