| Just spent the weekend in Charleston SC. Did some sight seening. Looked at what was available in real estate and prices. Checked into average incomes for the area and the schools. Visited Palmetto State Armory. Great guys. Very knowledgeable and helpful service. Went to ATP in Summerville and rented machine guns. I have to say the attitude of the people at theses places was great. I know it's different in other states but being there and experiencing it is another story. I will be married in September and my wife to be and I are completely committed to escaping NY. This place is just too far gone and will never ever come close to the freedom of other parts of this country. I have continuously voted and donated money to our cause. However, even if the unsafe act where repealed, we still wouldn't even come close to most of the rest of the country. And that doesn't include the rest of the problems with this state. |

Congrats on your future wedding. Not to hijack but is anyone else looking into Maine? My wife can transfer to South Portland area. Prices seem to be about what they are here. I hope you like the cold and snow. They get a lot of it.. I looked into Maine but looking at heating cost etc i scratched it off my list.. |

The gun laws are great and getting even better. I would go back if I had the opportunity. That said, they still have some of the same taxation issues as NY, albeit not quite as bad. There are two different Maines, the southern coastal area (includes south portland), and the rest. The divide in terms of political culture (the South is more lib-tard) is large and the southern area is the one that is growing in population. This makes me concerned about Maine's future. |

Take a look at Georgia too, love it here. Buying a 2200 sqft 4 bed 3 bath house on 3/4 of an acre in one of the event best school districts in the state and my taxes are $1300 Great to hear! I am driving the moving truck to Georgia next week and I can't wait. I won't be coming back to this cess-pool or any others like it! |

I had planned to be in that AO by now, but Life is directed by the fickle-finger-of-fate.....soon, very soon. I swear everytime I cross the State line and see that "Welcome to New York" sign I get that sick to my stomach feeling like I'm about to be arrested. |
