| There's one going on on the 22nd, I've been to a "regular" match, what is the difference in a "fun" match? Thanks. |

During the summer (which is when the fun matches are held) I prefer the fun match to the regular matches. The regular matches are (relatively speaking) plain and boring (which is the way they should be since it's a "practical" league) but the fun matches often lean towards the bizarre.
Interestingly, I always score much much better in the fun matches; novel and unusual situations seem to make me more engaged. |

I've seen them do .22 rimfire rifle stages (well actually I've only seen that once), but there has always been an e-mail that went-out to the KDPL members well in advance if there was going to be a rifle or shotgun stage. I haven't seen such an e-mail so it's safe to assume that it will be 100% pistol.
I like to bring-out my rifle and shoot it on the main range before the match, so if you want to do that then have at it (but my rifle is a .308 AR, not a .22 rimfire, so that wouldn't be helpful in the KPDL match) |

Yea I have a regular 5.56 AR so I guess I gotta just wait til the next KCPRL match, if it still happens :( Either way I'll still be there, pretty much the only guy with a subcompact lol! sally11b - email [email protected] to get on our mailing list. I should have a match announcement going out tonight once I know if there will be a shotgun stage. |
