The owner of the collection, C. Reed Knight Jr., head of Titusville-based Knight's Armament Co., is shopping an idea to open the collection to the public as a military museum, as well as to market the site as a location to hold military reunions, conventions and other events.
Hope Mr. Knight follows through with this, Titusville really needs it. Not to mention I want to see the collection again... |

Here's something interesting.
I had a customer come to me about 3 weeks ago with an M16. All the papers were there. It was a shooter and it wasn't in the perfect shape but it looked good and the legal stuff was there. The gun was former property of Reed Knight. When I saw the papers, I couldn't believe it because if you've ever seen his collection you'd scratch your head and ask yourself "This man has sold a gun before?" The Knight firearm collection is one of those things that you hear about anecdotally over the internet - and almost every over the top statement about what it contains is probably true. It would be fantastic to have it displayed to the public. |

He has muzzle loaders that were probably aimed at British Redcoats and M-4s and SAWS that probably saw action in this decade. And EVERYTHING in between! |

I was security at 2009 Open House and was posted in the Gun Room when Mr. Knight gave a private tour to a couple lucky folks. It's amazing that he can remember as much as he does about each fiream hanging on the wall.
When he got to the wall and a half of Stoner goodness he pointed at the first AR on the bottom and said "That's number one, two, three... I know where four and five are and I'm working deals to get them... That's six, seven...." He was referring to the first AR15's ever made. I talked to the gentleman who cleans and maintians Mr. Knights collection. He told me what was in the room represented about a quarter of the collection and everything in the room was in working condition. |

I'd drive a couple of hours to see that. |
