: Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has called the Legislature back into a Special Session this August 29th. By Taxpayers Association of Oregon OregonWatchdog.com (I copied and pasted from an alert) Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has called the Legislature back into a Special Session this August 29th. The goal is to pass a gas tax increase and wage tax increase. When it comes to a Special Session, there will not be much of a public debate nor public hearing, just a ram rod job. Governor Kotek's announcement warns that this is just the FIRST STEP, "This is just the first step of many that must be taken to meet our state's long-term transportation needs." That means there are more taxes, fees and budget gimmicks to come after these two taxes are passed. |

Supposedly there was some kind of back room deal where Republicans sold our 2A rights down the road in trade for not having our taxes raised so that drazen could have all those press conferences saying how Republicans stopped the tax hike. I knew this is what would happen, they'd just get us next time. BOHICA. (Every session in Oregon now) Unfortunately drazen will most likely run for governor again. Even in the one in a million long shot chance that she wins I wouldn't be happy and I doubt one thing would change in this state. |

Turn this concrete turd around. Spending and taxing out of control like they’re the Biden administration. The dems are also pressuring the republicans by cutting funding for their counties, I’m sure that’s illegal. It would be great to get a state audit from DC. |
