I recently got my paperwork back for my LLC. Do I need to advertise in a newspaper to complete the process? If so, what are the exact requirements to do things correctly? Thanks, fq1234 |

DavidC, From what source did you learn that there was a PA LLC notification requirement? I have been researching this issue, and I found that only PA corporations have to publish their existence. As far as I know, there is no such requirement for LLCs. I am not saying you are wrong, because I need to look into this further, but I am fairly certain that there is no such requirement for LLCs. That's why I would like to know where you got your info from. Thanks. |
I asked my lawyer. And the Bucks County Bar Association Law Reporter web page has a form that is specific for LLC's to publish their existence. See www.bucksbar.org/bclrmain.htm |

Uh, I just got off the telephone with the PA Deptarment of State Corporation Bureau, and they very clearly told me that there is no publication requirement for LLCs. Maybe Bucks County has a local rule requiring publication in their legal journal, but under state law, no such requirement exists. I would call the bureau to double check before paying $70 to do something that is not required under state law. However, PA corporations do have a publication requirement. As stated, LLCs do not. |
