After letting my CHL expire several years ago, decided to get another.
So far, I've had the finger prints/pic, did the online app, and now I have the certificate in hand. So can I just scan the cert, into a PDF file and email it to them, seeing how they already have everything else? |

I emailed them for an answer a week ago and never received word back. When you applied online you should have received a page with a barcode on it. That page has a checklist of everything to send to them. Go here Be sure and click "attach" at the very bottom of the page after you use the Choose File button to include your documents. |

Well, the fast form was supposed to be turned in by the place that does the finger printing, I did not get anything but a receipt from them ( done at the DPS in Pflugerville)
The form was done online, so didn't get those. What are the app pages? What about the certificate of training? I know some of this changed at the first of the year, so my questions, thanks |

| IIRC, you don't have to do anything with the fingerprint receipt. The company that does them submits them to DPS based on your DL number. You scan the Certificate of Training and submit through the DPS website where you already submitted the online application. I did mine late last year and I am almost positive this is the procedure, sorry but my memory is horrible. |

I received an e-mail entitled: License to Carry a Handgun Confirmation Message From: [email protected] The e-mail has a link to Texas Department of Public Safety and from there you can submit your supporting documents via secure e-mail and there is also an address provided if you want to mail the documents. As for FAST, the fingerprinting service (referred by DPS) says they are getting away from that and it's submitted via your DL# instead. ETA: As an aside, my wife is unhappy that they are using her DL photo for the permit. |
