| Went and looked at a Range Rover today. Really don't like the body style of the new ones. So I think It;s going to either be a Land Rover Discovery HSE or maybe a Toyota Land Cruiser. Goint to look at that next. he only thing that I thought was they got better Gas Milage than 12MPG |
| SUV gas mileage is in diect correlation to its size. The bigger you want the less gas mileage you will get. Have fun filling it up.......................a few times a week..................$75 a pop. And deecide how may times you are really going to go "off roading " accross a really bumpy gravel road going to 7-11. |

Yea I figured that out a while ago thats why I didn't even look at the H2 or H1 Hummer. After driving a F250 with dual gas tanks it's time to save. I just got off the phone with my sister in Vermont. She said look at the Toyota Highlander. I also hear the are comming out with a Hybrid model. Also about $25,000 less than a Rover or Land cruiser. Maybe Ill take the extra and by the Barrett instead and a nice night vision from Mr-H |

Two things.... I have the land rover discovery, its my second, great suv, they are doing a change for 2005 so you can get great deals on the 04 or wait for the 05. Both my friends who went for the range rover are buying landrovers this year. A friend has the highlander and when the two back windows are open the cavitation is actually painful test drive one and check it out b/f you buy....he was pretty upset. |

Bigger means less fuel milage, eh? I have the biggest SUV made today a Ford Excursion. It weighs over 7500 lbs dry. I just did a trip to NJ and got 22 MPG on the highway. I usually get about 14.5/15 MPG around town... What other SUV's, big ones, are getting that sort of milage? |

funny you mention rovers I have been in the market recently for a defender 90 and plan on making it into a rock crawler did you ever look into the defender 110 they come in diesel format if you can find them i had recently passed on one that was in Maine not sure if its sold though |
I wish I had bought one a few years ago...nice, brawny trucks...my friend has one and says that due to the low numbers imported, his is worth MORE (with 100k miles) than he PAID for it new! [
