So, this might seem strange...
Do you guys know of any private collectors/ranges/SOTs that have a decent sized collection of modern rifles/submachine guns/belt-feds? Reason I ask is that I was involved in the creation of this sound effects library, and it's sold well enough that the producers want to do the next iteration and are willing to throw a bit more money at the project. So I'm scoping around for SOTs with decent sized collections in Nevada that would be willing to spend a few days doing recording sessions. Any help would be much appreciated. |

I know a guy or two.
What guns are you looking for? I know a guy with about every MAC variation ever made. That's the low end of his collection, I think the Mini-Gun would be the top. 
He also has an MG08, and a lot of other "common" guns. I do not know his entire inventory, but it's a walk in vault to hold it all. PM me your direct email and I will see if he would be interested. |

However, I happened to be friends with a music composer, who happened to be friends with a sound engineer from Europe who just happened to see some gun pictures I took with my composer buddy that he posted to his facebook. Started asking questions, and said he'd been working on making a gun sound effects library but was finding it difficult to get access to firearms in Europe. So, the project kinda steam rolled from there, first version sold well enough that they want to do a second package. Now I'm the guy who does legwork stateside. Overall it's been a rather fun project, even if I'm not really paid for most of the work I do. |
