1) Adding a bi-pod (thanks to Marty!) to my M14 was a great way to make a good rifle even better. Reach out and touch someone now has new meaning.
2) I saw a side of Hillary today that I never realized existed. Thanks CavVet for the enlightenment. I know now that sometimes it really does take a villiage.
3) Purchase more M14 mags.
4) An EoTech on an AR Pistol is definately the shiznit and a must have.
5) 9MM AR's are one hell of a lot of fun and I have made up my mind that I will have one. Thanks Big_Elf for driving me over the precipice.
6) Cab drivers are must be alfa males.
7) Tacticle vests look cool as hell and just make sense.
8) Always take more cigarrettes than you could ever manage to smoke.
9) The Brown Dog likes to bark at shit at the oddest times. Can dogs get alzheimers?
10) I need to get rid of the guns that I don't shoot in the back of my safe.

Sunday morning edit;

1) Get an Arfcom hat with my farking screen name on it for the LCR.
2) Membership payment is being sent now. I don't know why it took me so long but this last shoot I finally realized I wouldn't know any of you yahoo's if it weren't for this board.

My lessons learned.

The M1917 still wants to slice into the web of my shooting hand.

Military style pistol belts suck.

Cadpat will be mistaken for Marpat.

I can too operate an AR15 without bending the charging handle.

South African .303, even recent vintage, still misfires.

.303 clips are great when they work, a serious pain when they don't.

When shooting prone next to the .50 calibre rifle, MOVE as soon as someone starts fiddling with it.  Me (shooting SKS):"Dude, did you just load that gun... I said, did you just load ..BAAAAAMMMMM!!"   I managed to get up one knee before he set it off 5' to my left. I'm really glad I wore ear plugs and muffs.

I really gotta arrange my time so I can spend the night there. 138 miles each way is a long drive.

There is a cool peep sight available for the SKS.

Its June at LCR. Its going to get hot even if it rains.

Hot barrels still look just like cold ones. (sizzled my arm)

TBD understands "fetch" too well. He walked slowly over to the ball, picked it up and then kept it.

I do remember the way to the pit, and most importantly, the way out.

Aiming downrange and then seeing some ATV's on the road directly above the target  is a little spooky.

We do need to do a few more reminder lessons on range rules, especially for the younger ones.

I'm all out of .45 practice/plinking ammo.

Thanks to Cavvet for keeping an eye on the firing line when I went down to fix some targets...

I learned that I/we (Taurus and I) like all you guys and gals-- a lot.   Thanks for putting up with me in particular. DuctapeLad had the time of his 12-year-old life as well.

PCR, you forgot the M14E2-- write it down. Welcome to Team Ductape-- son.

I suppose this is as good a time as any to admit that I originally gave the Maker's Mark to Iblis and Belial, hoping they'd get too snockered to be able to leave that night-- this was before I knew about their little mishap on the way out on a previous occasion. (Sorry, Marty and Clint, no ill effects intended. Great to see you there! ) So they gave it to 1GR instead, so it's actually my fault that he spilled the chips.

I have developed a powerful hankering for a .50 myself, but I think I'll be safe if I save myself for a Barrett. Time to start buying lottery tickets---

To everyone I didn't get a chance to tell, at Camp Ductape we believe in real coffee. Ask PCR et al. If you're feeling under-caffeinated in the morning, just come on around, we'll hook you right up! (Those who visited will attest that we bring a little too much of everything, so we may have whatever it is you might be needing in camp. )

Thanks for the kind words about Taurus' cookies, and for the help wringing out the E2-- it's good to know it still gets hits. Be well, and

We need to do one around Ellensburg, Yakima or Vantage.   It would be nice to test the hospitality on the East side of the mountains.

BTW...I have to give tumbleweed some credit for slaughtering that rum.

DougH and I were out doing a spot of yote hunting today near Vantage and were thinking the same thing. We found some good spots for a shoot but they will for sure require a good off road vehicle. That area would be nice because it's close enough to the east and westers.

Sounds like that would only be considered a big event after the fact (due to media coverage).
