Only one I've tried was on St Charles Rock Rd in St Ann. Guess they must have had an off day or something.
What I wish we had here was a good Chicago-style place that doesn't charge for both an Italian beef and an Italian sausage when you order a combination sandwich. Chicago Taste is good but very over priced. |

It's prepared at the place before its sliced. I never like the way it looks kinda grey looking and has what appears to be slime on it but its just the way it looks. |

It sucked then as well, compared to what I've seen at other locations, even ones in shittier areas.... Last time I was there I was told to leave because I bitched about the lack of cheese on my R. B. Sandwiches... I ordered two regulars with extra cheese... I get my order, sit down take a bite, I taste no cheese, 2nd bite no cheese... I open it up a bit, yup, I see no cheese, much less EXTRA... I look at my receipt, I paid for Xtra cheese on both...  So I my seemingly cheeseless sandwiches back up to the counter and say, excuse me... I politely tell them I ordered these with extra cheese and there is NO cheese. Figuring Travone Malik Shabaz would say, My bad, lemme fix da fo ya.... He gives me a dirty look, sighs, and rolls his eyes and opens up the sandwiches with his bare hands and in the very middle of each of the sandwiches there is a little maybe Dime sized dot of cheese and very attitiue like says, Man, there's Yo Cheese. I'm like that is extra Cheese???? he again says, Man, I said there's Yo Cheese. I'm like that aint extra cheese and you just fondled my shit with ""Yo"" bare hands... You need to make me some new ones and this time with Extra cheese.. We argued till I got pissed and threw the sandwichs at him and I said Fuck YO Cheese!!! We'll go somewhere else... Then as I was leavening he told me to leave and not come back... I never heard the end of it from my co-workers... |
