So I work normal hours, commute to Crystal City from Herndon, and have a young kid. Just how on earth does one work in shooting time that doesn't require waiting an hour + for a lane or selling my soul to Silver Eagle? WHy does 1 hour of shooting take 1/2 hour of driving, and 1 hour of waiting, to say nothing of gear cleaning time.
I despise gun shows because of the crowds, and I am now beginning to despise shooting because of the time involved. If I wanted to spend 1/2 a day away from my family, I would go play a round of golf. Not a rant - so don't grade me, but what do other folks do? p.s. I hope the guy with the bench rested M4 with the 12 power scope shooting at 15 yards at NRA this morning wasn't one of us. |
