So i still need to break in my new AR, but all the ranges around Seattle/Bellevue don't let you use high powered rifles, and if they do, they require that you load 1 shot at a time.
Where do you all take your AR-15s where you can shoot 'til your heart's content? It would be greatly appreciated, my fellow Washingtonians. |

Cascade looks pretty good. No fee, just 8 hours of work per year, and no magazine capacity restriction.
As far as shooting in some random place in Marysville, i might take up on that offer sometime. Membership fees aren't too appealing, and neither is 8 hours of volunteer work. |

But they're on the Mt loop highway, closer to granite falls than marysville. |

If you are looking for a cheap place to blast, check out Tacoma Sportsman in Puyallup. Ten bucks and you can shoot all day. They do have a ten round mag limit and no rapid fire. The range runs out to two hundred yards. There is some mixed feelings about this place here in the WAHTF but I have never been hassled there as they seem to cater towards the Fudd's and not the EBR crowd. I try to avoid going on the weekends as you can get some random balloon heads from time to time doing some stuff that will make you go
By the way where is the beer? Sir James... |

My list (not all allow rifles and/or hi-cap mags for walk ins, check first): and 25 yard pistol ranges. They have a monthly action pistol event, and also have Cowboy pistol event too (they dress in period outfits shooting cowboy revolvers). Requires membership. http://www.svrifle.com/SVRCCalendar/calendar2008.html yard rifle range, with a pistol range as well. Open to the public. They have muzzle loaders club that shoots monthly, no action pistol afaik. http://issaquahsportsmensclub.com/ has IDPA, and IPSC monthly events. Open to the public. http://www.rfgc.org/ in Ravensdale, has all kinds of ranges from bow, shotgun, rifle to 600 yards, and pistol. Requires a membership. http://cascaderifleandpistol.org/ range, open to public, and shows promise of indoor rifle range as well. Not sure what programs/events they'll have. http://www.shootingsportsnorthwest.com/ by Jeff144. Next session will be starting soon, contact [email protected] if you want more info. http://championarms.com/main.html Microsoft main campus is Interlake. http://www.interlakesporting.org/ Web site might be a little out of date but range is still up and running. convenient on Bel-Red road, but they've increased the prices to $15.- / lane, and their store is pricey. http://www.wadesguns.com/ Airport Way in south Everett. Indoor pistol range open to the public. Will accomodate rifles up to .30 cal with additional required training provided by range staff. http://www.beegc.org/samsgsr/samsgsr.html Sportsman's Club - This is a fairly small operation but is public. Rifle, pistol, skeet. The 200 yd rifle range is interesting as the entire thing is a hill and targets are set at close intervals. Makes it very easy to sight in if your elevation is skewed! http://www.tacomassportsmensclub.com/default.aspx They have indoor pistol range with (approx.) 12 lane. Pay for rental once and you can use any rental pistol in the house as long as you use their ammo. Full sales counter for new and used rifles, pistols, and shotguns. In house gun smithing (both custom work and regular maintenance). Very friendly and knowledgeable staff - but they do get incredibly busy and it can be a while before somebody is available to talk with you. Range card and 5 min range safety class required to get on their range. Skeet & Trap for clay target shooting http://sstclub.com good range, nonsensical hourly lane pricing http://www.shootingsportsnorthwest.com/ store in Issaquah, opening a range in Bellevue http://www.westcoastarmory.net/issaquah-bellevue-east-side-gun-shop-page-indoor-range.html is now open! http://www.bellevueshootingrange.com/ |
