Anyone from KC do any long distance shooting?

I am glad that you asked. I was wondering where they would especially with the distance limited to 100 to 200 yards on most of the ranges. Unless private land is available. Anyway, just wondering the same.

Bucksnort in Marshall has out to 600 yards That would be your closest and really the farthest without finding private land.

Just got home from Bucksnort. Zeroed at a hundred. Rolled around in the grass some, layed on my back and watched the sky. Dialed my scope dope out to 600 yards. shot 25 rounds of 190 grain SMKs. Drove down checked targets. Rolled around some more in the grass, layed on my back and looked to God and said................. I'm in heaven.

We used to shoot our Anschutz .22lr match rifles from the 200 yard line at Bucksnort. Good times.

A lot of guys from KC drive to Big Piney in Houston to shoot up to 800 yards. Other than that, you need to get a friend with private land.

There are some guys around the state with private ranges up to to 1400. Mostly, I have to travel to competitions out of state to shoot past 800. I am going to Kentucky next weekend for a shoot up to 1300.
