I decided to run out to my new shooting spot above Harlan, to test some reloads, and both of my bolt guns.
The reloads consisted of 55VMax, Hornady 60SP, and 69SMK's. Conditions were fair, about 60 degrees, high humidity, with winds calm to 10MPH from my right. Ranged the target at 150 yards, with about a 20 degree uphill angle.
The Range

First Test, 69SMK-W748 The first is 4 shots, aiming at the 8.
Second group, aiming at the bottom of the 9 ring, 6 shots - 4 in the and one above the X ring, and one to the right in the 9 ring.

Second Test, Hornady 60SP-Varget 2 strings of five, aiming point was vertical cross hair between the 10 and 9 rings, horizontal at the bottom of the 10 ring.

Third Test, 55VMax-AA2230 10 shot continous string, aiming point was the #7.

All in all, pretty impressed with any of these loads. I should have brought some white tape to mark better aiming points, as black on black isn't the best for consistency.
Next, I moved on to my bolt guns, a Ruger M77 in .243, and my baby.......Remington 700 in .270.
First, the .243 Three shots, factory Remington 100grn PSP's

Next up, the .270 Three shots, factory Fedral 140grn Fusions.

I also found a short cut up the mountain, but on my way back down, so I didn't write everything down, but it cuts about 2 miles off the drive, on much better roads. Ballpark, rather than turning right in Harlan, you turn left, go about 1.5 miles, and turn right over a concrete bridge. It's 3.5 up, and meets up with the main road at about the 6.5 mark.....then turn left and keep going like the old directions. All in all, a good day of just screwing off.
