I am looking for a range. I prefer one with a few different distances, mostly for pistols. I was a member of ASC but my wife has cancer and no one returned my emails  and my membership was canceled.  What do you have?   I am in DuPage county

Outdoor? What about Ottawa (not sure range name). I shoot indoor.

I would like outdoor, I know shoot was something that kind of took all the medical issues away when we were shooting, but it has been over a year since she got sick and she is finally starting to feel better and we will be coming into some money by the end of the year so I was thinking somewhere where there is a membership.

If you were a member at ASC before and liked the club, why not go back there? Ranges are few and far between in northern Illinois.

I know they are having new member orientation this Sunday so someone should be in the office. Are you using current contact info?

I'm a member there and am happy with range.

We loved the place, but when she got sick we stopped going.  I will try calling Sat.

Just submitted my application to ASC.

Re- up there, and when we get a chance we'll throw some lead and grab a chicken finger sammich and some beers at Pub West.

Won't be able to make this weekends orientation unless I take the day off, which most likely wont happen.  Will hit the next one that coincides with my weekend off.

I'm a member of the ISRA range in Bonfield. I'm happy with it and membership is reasonable

This is likely the place for you. You can get a 'holster draw' stamp so even if you don't ccw, you can still practice on the range from a holster. You can also shoot and move by either 1) attending an event which includes this, or 2) follow the rules to do this on your own (so you can, but not however you want).

If the ISRA range wasn't a hour and a half away I would join, maybe. but ASC is less and family members are free.

One new thing at ASC is they now allow open carry on the property. One of the old features is the ability to shoot steel targets. That is something I do everytime I'm at the range.

I was a member of the range until Sept. I never heard of the open carry. I did hear of the holster class to carry.  I am waiting to hear back from Tony.

To open carry you have to have the holster draw certification. This was published in the July 2015 newsletter.
