Would this be against the rules/COC?
I have a buddy that NEEDS a job... and I was wondering if posting his credentials and what kind of job he's looking for on here. Maybe I could help him out? If its a no go, please let me know, but if there are no problems I'll get with him and see if its even something he'll want me to do. Just trying to help out a buddy. Thanks for any input/info |

He lives in Spring Hill but traveled to Nashville/Middle TN area to work before so I doubt he'll be opposed to it now.
He's a smart guy (smarter than me, but that's not saying a whole lot). Computer/Tech stuff... stuff I don't really know about... he had a good job but times being what they are and him being at the bottom of the totum pole, he got laid off a couple months ago... So if anyone happens to be looking for Network admin, software implementation, anything computer related outside of graphics or design. Shoot me an IM and I'll relay the info his way. I appeciate the help (Thanks Hank for the ok). |

IM sent. IT job applicants are a dime a dozen, IMO. Kids right out of HS, college grads & un-employed IT folks all looking for a minimal amount of job openings. About the only other field as crowded would be construction, IMO. Good luck to him! Hey Bob, Did you send am IM my way? PC |

IT work is still out there, but it hasn't been "booming" in a long while AND the market is flooded since for years, everyone has said "Computers! That's where the money is!". The only advice I could offer is to look for more small localized maybe "up and coming" companies and take over as an in house admin/tech. Of course if he's got plenty of training and/or is specialized in one specific area, he might fare better in a support company. If he's in Networking/Security, he may want to join his local chapter of Infragard. They have local chapters and meet monthly to discuss Cyber Security trends/emerging threats, etc. That would be a great way to meet people in the industry, and get his name out there. You never know when someone's friend, or an old business they used to work for, or their cousin's brother in law Dave might need an IT guy. Just some thoughts, good luck to him! |
