| As long as there was no additional land purchased for expansion, I don't think Littleton can do anything. I believe that the state statute where the shooting range predates the ordinance or additional laws passed means that they have no standing to enforce action. |

As it files the appeal, the Alder Brook Sportsmens’ Association also seeks a special exception approval from the Zoning Board of Adjustment. A public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 25, when the appeal and special exception application are expected to be heard. On Feb. 3, a notice was sent to the association and property owner, Chris Crowe, informing them that the property is in a rural-zoned district and a shooting range isn’t a permitted use in rural districts. “The original shooting range property most likely existed prior to the enactment of the Zoning Ordinance, but the expansion on the property occurred in the last 10 years or so,” wrote Zoning Officer Chad Miller. Crowe and the association, which leases the property at 283 and 350 Alder Brook Road from Crowe, were ordered to cease the non-permitted use and obtain approval from the ZBA. In a letter the ZBA received on Friday, the association states, “We claim that the determination that a violation of the town’s zoning ordinance exists was in error.” The property encompasses 142 acres. The special exception seeks to allow “an outdoor recreational facility and a club/lodge at Off Alder Brook Road.” In June 2022, 11 fire departments and six dozen fire personnel turned out to the shooting range for what Littleton’s then-fire chief called a “stubborn” brush fire likely caused by a bullet that struck a rock and created a spark in what were dry conditions, strong winds, and temperatures north of 90 degrees. Utility Terrain Vehicles had to be used because of how far out the fire was. Some personnel had to walk in and out of the scene because of difficult access, making it impossible for traditional fire apparatus. |

Dorks in Bethlehem suing. One of the basis were improper permission granted from the town. I forgot if they sued Littleton or Crowe. Probably everyone. In the meantime Alderbrook is shooting there. Fire last year took multiple departments a couple days to fully extinguish brought the range into the town's line of sight. In addition to being the fire chief, Miller is also the zoning compliance officer for Littleton. Miller wanted the range to kiss the ring for reasons that include dotting Is/crossing Ts so as to avoid scrutiny in the wake of the buttloads of NIMBY lawsuits that involve where those three towns meet(Littleton, Bethlehem, and Dalton)-Forest Lake has shined a big spotlight in that area. Now anyone savvy with tax maps and the various systems NH towns use can look up where these people live, when they built the house, how little noise of the range affects them and confirm their opinion that these people are cunts. Easy to see from 116 with all their NIMBY signs and ukraine shit |

However, the trailhead on RT 2 was moved over to the BG road....so I guess they won. |
