Greetings, I understand that I'm a noob and that this is a silly question and perhaps the wrong area, but does anyone around here have an in for a decently priced stripped lower? I have a friend who was looking into buying an AR around Thanksgiving and had hoped to build one after Christmas. With the unfortunate recent events, it's made this nigh impossible. Any help would be appreciated!

Given the current situation you will probably have to pay a high price for one or just try to wait it out with a dealer that hopefully hasnt raised their prices...

Pretty much what I told him, though I secretly had hoped someone local might be sitting on a stack of blems. Thanks for reply, I'll let this die.

We've got most of the parts to build one (including a lower ) but can't find parts like a bolt lock. Good luck finding a lower.

That's one of those classic "I told you so" proposition, he should have gotten it way back then, it got bad after the election, and has recently gotten a lot worse.

This has been my response to all asking me.

Followed by..., "You and everybody else.  Good luck.  If there is no ban things may level out by spring."
