| Where in STL can a guy find a cheap stripped lower? I've been waiting forever to get some from the local guy I deal with and I never see any on the local EE. If this were the old days I would have just posted in there WTB inexpensive stripped lower. |

You might be waiting awhile, especially with the current media buzz and political climate. The days of $79 lowers is pretty much gone. But if your really on the cheap, here ya go;
$44 AR15 lowers Remember, you get what you pay for. |

I feel I got a decent deal on my S&W stripped lower, but it was shipped here. $161 w/Transfer.
Karri's gets Aero and Surplus Ammo in every now and then, but those go quick. Also, not exactly close to St Louis but they do make it here for shows every now and then. ETA: Just got an email from them, I expect to get a second within the hour letting me know that all lowers for $78.98 shipped are gone. |

You get what you pay for. I would spend the extra 10 bucks and get a known good lower that is going to have a good company backing it up and has quality controls. Most of the sub $100 lowers are made by Aero Precision. They make or made lowers for Spikes Tactical, Surplus Ammo & Arms, Palmetto, and Armalite among others. Of course they make them labeled Aero Precision as well. They are GTG. I have Spikes, Surplus Ammo, S&W, and RRA. All work equally well. |

Here is a $79 Aero lower at AIM.

I just got a few lowers from Midwest Industries. They are Surplus Ammo & Arms brand for $69.95 each plus actual shipping to your FFL. Did a group buy with a friend and our shipping came out to $3 apiece. Looks like they have free ground shipping on orders over $100 through 8-31. |

can buy direct from Surplusammo.com....Just expect horrible customer service, but great prices.... I have dealt with Surplus Ammo and Arms a LOT and have experienced exemplary customer service. The one time when something happened due to the person doing the shipping not shipping the right thing they made it right immediately. |

I just picked up an Anderson Mfg at Pacific Guns for $95.00 That's about $5.00 higher than a few weeks ago. Nick said that he didn't have many left. He also had a couple of others at slightly higher prices.
Good luck. These things are harder to find than conservative Democrats. |

Quoted: This begs the question of how a stripped lower is handled across state lines. I would assume one is treated with all the same requirements as a handgun.Quoted: Only because the rest of the gun is CMMG I've been looking for a stripped CMMG lower. Haven't had any luck. Everyone is sold out. A co-worker of mine is picking up a cmmg stripped lower at OMB in olathe as I type this |

Unless your "OMB" is different than what I'm thinking of. I've got a stripped CMMG lower sitting in the safe that I paid waaaaaay too much for in the big Obama panic of 2008. |

Quoted: A stripped lower is treated as a "receiver". Not as a rifle or pistol. Not specifically as a handgun, an out of state person should be able to buy from a dealer, the same as a longgun. Brian Actually, it is an "other", which has the same transfer requirements as a handgun. I was just misremembering a bit. ![]() |

EvilBetty: If you want to make a trade, I'll swap you my CMMG lower for another brand of stripped lower, as long as it's on the same quality level. I'm not particularly tied to the CMMG brand on the one I have. |
$161 w/Transfer.
