| panic buying is pointless... The best thing any of us can do is join an organization such as the NRA or TSRA. I seen people buying thousands of dollars worth of gear but won't even spend the $30 for a year membership for the NRA. End of rant. |

I've renewed my NRA membership. Payday I plan to sign my sons up(6&7) and sign us all up for the TSRA.
I also need to find a dadgum stripped lower for the flat top upper my brother gave me for my birthday! That way I'll have an AR for both of my boys. I am staying positive that we will prevail. Common sense and logic must overtake knee jerk emotional reactions. |

Quoted: I'd rather do both NRA is a national organization. TSRA is the state organization. I guess I should not be surprised Kali expected folks outside their state to fix their problems.

Quoted: Don't you think you should wait to see what the NRA does before giving them more $$$? They are making noises like they might cave in. If so, I'll have to find another lobby group like GOA or JPFO. Any links about the NRA not stepping up? I hadn't heard that |
|
What remains to be seen is what they mean by "meaningful contributions".
www.nra.org "The National Rifle Association of America is made up of four million moms and dads, sons and daughters - and we were shocked, saddened and heartbroken by the news of the horrific and senseless murders in Newtown. Out of respect for the families, and as a matter of common decency, we have given time for mourning, prayer and a full investigation of the facts before commenting. The NRA is prepared to offer meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again." Quoted:

I am willing to bet they come out against "gun free" zones (killing fields) and push to address the mental health aspects of the problem in this country. BTW....I just upgraded to Patron Life membership. Even if you do not support the NRA, everybody better get behind some gun rights org. We are going to be in the fight of our lives. |

No jumping to conclusions. Just reading what Wayne(NRA) wrote with my pollitically-correct-to-english filter active. I hope they don't trade away our rights as they sometimes do at the fudd level. By the way, thanks for upgrading to Patron. I've been a Life Benefactor member for many years. I also have written the NRA to give them my feedback on what I would like them to do now. Have you? Our team should be writing Congress and our lobbying organizations often and early if we are going to weather this one. |

An industry insider on M4Carbine indicated that the behind the scenes is noise is they are not Caving. Instead they are showing respect and restraint. |

It is not pointless.
1. Retailers are making money in a down economy. 2. The left must see it as a sign of non-solidarity for their cause 3. Politicians who have their finger in the wind should see this as a sign that getting on the ban wagon is not clear cut. 4. Some of those people who panic bought might actually go out and shoot their purchase. Another win, shooting range makes some money. |

Your check will be cashed and you will be thrown under the bus. They have done it in the past with NFA owners and will do it again to black rifle owners. Your money is better spent on Christmas gifts for your family. Just wait till latter this morning. I'm not casting stones or trying to pick a fight and do not care to engage in a sword fight. Just my humble opinion. Merry Christmas |

Quoted: Although I think it is important to be an NRA member, what did they do to stop the last AW ban? It's not like they didn't try. Democrats had the majority, and still only passed it by a couple of votes. The NRA helped caused the election defeat of a lot of the traitors that voted for the AWB, and they helped keep it from getting renewed in 2004. The thing that hurt us the most back then was the fudds that only care about hunting. We have the House now, we're more organized than ever because of the internet, and we have massive gun sales numbers on our side. We're in a much better position now, as long as we don't turn on each other. |
