I imagine whatever police department arrived on the scene would secure it.

Maybe you should think about staying off the roads with the issues you have lately?

you guys are rough on me but its ok just asking questions to learn. Thanks to all who have IM with help . Thanks Joe.
This forum has help me in so many ways about firearms and reloading and casting my own. Forum members have come to my home and taught me how to use my Dillon 550B reloading equipment and so forth. Must of the members lived in other states and drove to NJ to assit me. I do not have issues just normal day life in a new state and all the challenges that come with it.

Well welcome to the U.S.A.   I used to live in NJ as well.   Just keep your vehicle documents squared away and drive carefully.

And go buy some 30 round magazines, a F/H and a collapsible stock.   Dammit.

Yes, provided she is not prohibited from being in possession of a firearm.

Most hospitals have a security agent  who will secure all valuables and personal belongings. When you are stripped of your clothing at the Emergency room, all of it is done so in the presence of that officer, who collects the stuff and documents all of it. Then it is placed in a secure container for release to you or a loved one at a later date.  If your gun needs removed at the scene it will be given to that security officer upon arrival at the hospital by the ambulance crew.  Everyone is trained for this occurrence.
