Tried to call Corker's office about magazine ban bills. Switchboard playing games line busy or you are put in a loop that goes no where. Tried multiple times, no luck.

Tried to call again just put in loop to nowhere. Demand they oppose S.3414, the so-called"Cybersecurity Act,"and S.A.2575, the Schumer " Magazine Ban." Ask for Alexander and Corker at 202-225-3121. Good luck with that call.

Did you really think that you'd get to speak to them?  You would be lucky to receive an e-mail or even a letter from their offices.  And that's just not those two, that would be any of those ass clowns in D.C.

Actually they usually tell you that you don't under stand the bill. A very active lady from C4L call Corker's office to complain about his vote for NDAA and was told she didn't understand what NDAA was. The LOST [Law Of The Sea Treaty] was brought up at a Corker townhall meeting a few weeks ago. Corker didn't want to address the issue and responded by saying how thick the bill was 1 and 3/4 ins. thick. Remember Obama care we have to pass the bill to see what's in it . The Law Of The Sea Treaty has been around for over 30 years and hasn't pass yet. After 30 years people should know what is in the bill.Anybody with conservative or pro US Constitutional views should realize we are in deep doo doo with the representatives we have. They are called RINO's!

Both of these clowns need to be thrown out on their butts! The republicans are heading in the same direction as the progressives, albeit a tad bit slower.

What the deuce?!?  What the hell is going on???

Please fill me in, as I am currently stuck in the land of eternal poo... KAF, (Kandahar Air Field... home of the nastiest smelling sewage treatment plant in the world) and the internet is sloooooow, so research is a bit of a bear.

Thanks!

Wife got e-mail about the magazine bans. Was given a # for L. Alexander 202-224-4944 # disconnected. B. Corker's # 202-224-3344 # disconnected. She called today to ask that they oppose S3414 ans S.A.2575 Magizine Ban. I guess they will tell us they are trying to save the taxpayers money. LOL ! Besides who cares what the citizens [taxpayers] think .

Also for the record Chick-fil-A is PACKED. Thank God.

Here are the contact forms for Bob Corker  and Lamar Alexander  , for whatever they're worth.  I wrote them both about SOPA/PIPA, and got a canned reply from Corker's office a couple of weeks after it was over.

The usual suspects are trying to use the Colorado theater shooting to justify passing gun control laws.

Since the nutjob used a 100 round drum magazine, they want a federal restriction on magazine size.

Since he bought 6,000 rounds over the internet, in the months before the shooting, they want a law requiring all ammo sales to go through licensed dealers, recordkeeping on each sale, reporting of any sale of over 1,000 rounds (similar to reporting of sales of more than one handgun), and the buyer to present a legal photo ID at the time of the sale (no more ordering ammo over the phone, the internet, or by mail).

If you think it through, none of that would have prevented the Colorado shooting.  It's just that these same politicians have tried to do this in the past, and they finally have a media circus to take advantage of.

And the irony is that if the 100 rd magazine hadn't jammed, he would have killed more people. He did most of the killing with a Remington 870. If anything, they should promote the probably cheap Korean made drum. It all makes no sense. Kinda like saying," if we didn't have seatbelts, people wouldn't drive so fast."

Yep, if he wouuld have had USGI 30 rounders, the body count would have been higher

It would be interesting to see how many he fired before it jammed.

Yes, it would, but I don't think we are likely to see that information for quite a while, if ever.

The police chief has already put out some false information, in the first press conference.  He described the nut's vest as being a tactical vest with pockets, then a reporter asked if it was bulletproof, and the chief said it was.  I think it was CNN that dug up a copy of the invoice where the nut bought the vest.  It wasn't even a plate carrier, just a simple 'tactical' vest with pouches (had enough pouches to carry 8 AR mags).  The news media ran with that and early witness descriptions of the nut being 'covered in black armor', and have been putting out claims that sound almost like science fiction (bullet-proof boots?).

Even if the police chief held another press conference and started giving out detailed information on the shooting, I'd have trouble believing him.

Thanks for the update. When does truth matter with the media ?
