| I'm from WI and I have a question re the magazine size limit in your state. Did you guys have to give up your large cap mags when your law went into effect or if you already had em, were they grandfathered in? |

I assume your referring to Maryland, as Delaware has no hi-cap laws. To the best of my understanding(chime in if im wrong) MD law is not retroactive, meaning all hi-caps owned before thier state ban was instituted may stay hi-cap and do not have to be blocked. But if you read MD law its weird, posession of hi-caps after the ban is not illegel, a MD resident may come in to a neighboring state, buy a hi-cap and bring it home. It just cant be sold or shipped to them. I have friend that lives in NJ and they have to block all their mags. He told me all that is needed for them to do is insert a wooden dowel inside the mag, so it cant hold more than 15 rds. Hope this helps Z |
No, That is considered a transfer. The transfer cannot take place within the boundries of MD. ETA- The answer to the original question is 20rounds magazine limit for any firearm. This does not apply to .22 rifles with tubular magazines. |

When i lived in not so mary- land i bought mine out of state. The state of maryland just misses out on sales tax revenue and income tax revenue ect. Funneling millions of dollars out of state a yEAR SMART . And the chances of ccw permits is never looking good either even with the republican govnr . I left in 1996 best thing i ever did reguardless of the gun laws. The weather sucks and their is nothing to do there. Unfortantly their are some decent people there including some of my friends. |
