Any of youz NV guys looking for a new stock for your AR? Well, I was set on getting a Magpul STR, until I saw the comparison pics from a good guy named Stickman over in the AR section. His pics convinced me that I don't need anything that wide, (plus I don't have anything on my rifle that calls for the batteries that the STR holds.)
BUT, although the CTR is just the ticket for me, they can be a bit trickey to find in FDE, (what I had been looking for). I happened to check out 44MAG.com , and they have CTR's in FDE, (black too) at a couple of bucks less than everybody else, and FREE shipping on all Magpul stuff. Got the whole deal for about 76.00.
It took all of about 5 minutes to install, and the thing is SOLID. It looks really nice too. Check 'em out.

I wonder if New Frontier Armory carries CTRs in FDE in commercial and mil-spec sizes?

This post made me think of a show n' tell meet up. We had a 'swap meet' at a range several years ago, for people to barter their unwanted stuff.  A similar meet up would help other shoppers compare different stocks, rails, barrel options, etc.

Brownells sells earth brown Alumihyde 2 which is the closest match that I've found to magpul FDE.

NFA carries both commercial and mil-spec Magpul stuff on their website.  You can order and pay through the web (without the extra CC % they charge in the store), then pick it up at the store to save shipping.

This is a great Idea as I have a pile of AR parts building up which really need a new home.
