My step sons dad is from new york and always takes him to see the yankees when they are in town. He was supposed to be back from Iraq by now, but hes not. It sucks he wont be able to take him, but he asked me to. Thursday and Friday night, My step son has a yankees jersey, are we gonna get beat up? What about parking? |

No beat up, heckled a bit yes.
Get there early and park on 6th ave. Pointing south in your case. Or pay 20 bucks and sit in traffic for a hour before you get to the freeway. If all are healthy my work has parking for free but is about 1/2 mile from Safeco. I just have to know make, model & plate #. |

There is free parking for up to 24hrs under the viaduct, that's where my car is right now. (I'm pretty sure it's still there... maybe I should go up on the roof and take a look) Gets a little crowded when big attractions like the Yankees are in town, but if you get here a couple hours early you could save the $25 - $35 the commercial lots charge. Otherwise... take a train/bus and save yourself the trouble.
Edit: or do what Dino says, that sounds like a good plan, and a good way to avoid the "urban camper" population under the viaduct. |
