| the show blew on friday when I went. I was hoping to pick up some cases of ammo and some retro parts from that guy who is along the back wall but he wasn't there so I left with only some 7.62x54R surplus and a few other small parts. The vendor turnout was pretty meager on friday. |
Kind of off topic but does anyone know who that guy is? I asked him once if he had a website or a phone number where I could order from him later and he said "NO!" and walked away from me, like he didn't want me to know who he is. I just thought it was strange for him to act that way. I still buy from him though. |

I know the gentleman to whom you refer, and have conducted transactions with him for years. He was most likely absent from Mason due to his attending the Indy1500 show this weekend. He's an "old time" vendor that only sells at shows, and each weekend finds him somewhere on the circuit: he doesn't do mail order sales, has no website, and no computer access. I have the feeling he's not going to be on the "circuit" for very much longer, and he may or may not be set up at the Birch Run show later this month. Thus, if he has something "unique" that you are in need of it might be wise to purchase the item while you're still able. This fellow is definitely one of the "good guys" and when he's gone it'll be a loss. |
Well said!!! It's kinda strange that I've known and dealt with him for so many years and I can not think of his name, but he is always one of the guys I look for and spend money with. |

| Last conversation I had with him he said he was getting out of the business. He has always been willing to let me know where he'd be next. Hopefully, he's at the Indy and will be at Birch Run. Unfortunately, a lot of the old time guys are getting out of the business. Jeff |
