This is a video about a Jacksonville LEO shooting that happened in 2008, some of you may even know him. It is narrated by the Officer who was involved. He is currently back at work in full capacity as a Patrol Officer and a member of the SWAT Team. The incident has some good lessons for anyone who lawfully carries / uses a gun... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArDRg5SkuT0&feature=player_embedded |

I've had the pleasure to meet Officer Reston personally and have been shooting with him in competitions the last few months. He really is an outstanding person given the little time I've gotten to know him..Glad to see he came out on top..
ETA: and he's a beast behind the trigger..He just has surgery last week and was out there running and gunning still..Now that's dedication to your craft.. |

Officer Reston's actions warrant respect and admiration. +1 - Good point for those of us that lawfully carry, you just never know what you may be up against should you become involved in something as simple as detaining a shoplifter. Officer Reston was up to the challenge and I'm grateful for his courage and service to our local community. |
