Guys - just for your information:
Friends of Del-Tone; On June 8th I was informed by the Zoning dept of Sherburne County that we are in violation of our 1995 Conditional Use Permit (CUP) that was initiated before I purchased the Gun Range in 2002, that CUP allowed for Del-Tone to operate a Rifle range /gun club/range. The county has taken the position that the CUP does not allow for Handguns to be shot on the range even though they have known for years /decades that handguns have been always used at Del-Tone.I have retained an attorney to assist in this matter and to resolve the issue as soon as possible. In the meantime , with regret , we must abide by the order and disallow all handgun shooting until further notice. Rifles and shot guns are still allowed on the various ranges, just handguns/pistols/revolvers are not allowed until we can sort it out. I would ask for your patience and support ,as this issue moves forward, I would also hope that you can support me at the township meetings and County Board hearings as we try to get the CUP revised for handguns. I apologize for this course of action but we have no choice at this point, I will keep you advised through our website , letters and by all means please feel free to call the clubhouse. Regards Randy Luth President Del-Tone/Luth Gun Range I would prefer to keep the range going by having the rifle/shotgun portions of the normal 3-gun shoot coming up this Sunday, and at the future dates of the normal mini 3-guns. I think our show of support both on and off the range would go a long way toward paying Randy Luth back for all that he has done for the shooting industry and the shooters. It would also help to stave off the anti-gun crowd that is constantly one complaint away from closing down countless ranges in this state. Anyone else still in for a Mini 2-gun? |

Quoted: Eric I am making that assumption but please don't hold me to that. I am not in charge, just trying to help keep these shoots going. Payne I wont hold you too anything, just was not sure if you had talked to the people in charge to see what they might be modifying. Either way I'm still going for practice and to show support. Five is better then four, but four is much better then none. I'd still shoot Tri Gun up there even if they had to change the name to Duce Gun.

I am curious how many people tried, or saw someone in their squad try, the 30 yrd. partial headshots instead of running up to the barricade on Stage #3. Just curious.
I really like stages that allow you to make choices as to how you will run it based on your known abilities. |

It just seemed faster to charge them, to me. If my JP upper would have had a bayonet lug, they might have been stuck a few times, too. I didn't think the 200 yard bay was going to be that hard but at almost every position I started with the barrel or gas block touching the obstacle. |

Keith I am ordering the new JP extra length handguard as soon as they are available for just that reason. I hope to make it to SCAPSA on Sat., I will be at Fort Benning on Friday for Tyler's graduation. Can't wait for the new handguard! Say hi to Tyler. |

I hear there is a rumor going that the prototype handguard might be at the SCAPSA match. Congrats to Tyler!

Quoted: I was told the results would be re-posted in the near future breaking the divisions down and the placings would then be in order. I don't know if they will break it down per stage or not. That'd be cool. The stage break down would be nice so I can easily see how bad you whooped me. |

My buddy put it on a spread sheet somehow so it was setup how it used to be.
