Fuck yeah! Haven't seen a good storm in a while. It's like God brought out the pressure washer here in southeast Chandler. Glad I planned my vacation to AZ when I did. |
| Glad you're enjoying it. I'm sitting here at work (in Tempe), instead of going home because of this. I like the rain, but not this hurricane stuff. The wind has died down, though. If the rain itself softens up, all I'll have to deal with is flooded streets and panicked drivers. |

Damn, i miss those monsoons. What you guys called monsoons here in Michigan we call every day lol.
I really won't miss riding my crappy 50cc scooter to work 12 miles in the pouring rain though... that was always terrifying. I did however enjoy hiking camelback and watching the storms pass over PHX. That was so neat. I miss az |

Not the best day to spend out at at Lake Pleasant. I drove for twenty minutes down Castle Hot Springs Rd with no more than ten feet of visibility because the rain was coming down so hard and could not pull off to the side because of the rock slides/flooding down either side of the road. Back in town, Deer Valley Road was a flooded mess and 91st Ave was a south flowing river with at least a few cars stalled and halfway submerged. |

Oh yes, I did forget about the flooding & death py Whats wild is that Flagstaff is consistently COLDER in winter than Mammoth. I spent the prior 4 winters in Mammoth, then moved back to Flag this past winter. It was consistently 10-15 degrees colder everyday here in FLag. |
| Just before dawn there was close to 12 ft of water running down the Tanque Verde creek. Agua Caliente and the Pantano are all running. The Rincons and Reddinfton pass got over 4 inches last night. Tucson is one wet town this morning! If it hits again tonight like last night it could wash away some houses in northeast Tucson. The ground is so saturated that the water can't percolate. When it rains it pours! |

I have not been to Flagstaff, is the landscape similar? |
