Yup.  But, once I can run it, my costs drop to $0.60/gallon, and will hold there until November comes and I have to go back to the pumps.

Yup. But, once I can run it, my costs drop to $0.60/gallon, and will hold there until November comes and I have to go back to the pumps.Have you tried running a mix? Guy I know down in H'ville runs 50/50 in the winter, just makes sure to take along some 9-1-1. |

Guy I know down in H'ville runs 50/50 in the winter, just makes sure to take along some 9-1-1. I have tried anything, and everything, for the past 3 winters. With the base stock oil I use (peanut), it's just not possible to run it below freezing. I've also contacted EVERY major commercial additive supplier in the USA, and a couple in Europe where biodiesel and diesel are more prevalent. It's just a no-go. So, I have to suck it up for the 4-5 months I can't run it. |

Can't allow any of the awesome to wash off my stuff.
It's actually less the guns I'm worried about.....I'm allergic to getting wet AND cold, I get shaky, cough, my nose runs.... I know the feeling. That why I like going to our farm. Just open the door and take the shot! No mess no fuss

The 7.3 Ferd diesels would easily run off of that. I've heard it's a big no-no with the Bosch injection that the Duramax uses, so I'm not gonna try it. I believe the newer Cummins use the same style of injection. Hope he's doing more than straining it. Should be filtered down to at least 4 micron if not 1-2 micron. |
