Hi, the good lady Wife & I are moving soon, do I inform the Police once I have moved & re-installed my cabinet (new/bigger) or do I give them my new address/send FAC prior to moving?

You should inform your FLO of your new Addy before you move, then he will arrange
to come and see you at your new house and assess security as required.

Thats what I had to do anyway (Cheshire)

When we moved recently, I relocated the cabinet to the new house and sent in a change of address variation.  The licencing branch then organised for a FLO to come and check the security.

Very straightforward indeed.  I expect they assume that having been through the process of finding an appropriate place for the cabinet and local security once, then you'll have a good idea of what to do when you move house.

Best regards,

Ex-Geronimo.

Only thing that's worth baring in mind is if you move from one county to another or from England to Scotland  then some of your kit might not be allowed by the new county/country. A good example of this is if you were to move to Dumfries and Galloway should you have a section 1 shotty then you would have to leave it at the border as their Chief Unnecessary expletive removed....stable  despises this type of firearm and has made it his personal ambition to ensure that none exist in D&G

Check before you move

i installed alarm and cabinet in the new house just before moving in....

Then contacted FLO who popped out for a quick look the day after moving in and nodded.... then moved old cabinet in next door to new one.... Hey presto, more room...

We may be staying in Hampshire which would mean my FEO would stay the same, our move will be within as little as 15miles of our original loc, possibly Berkshire, nothing major. Thanks for the help.
