I guess I have made up my mind, looks like I will be heading to Arizona in a year or so.  I am waiting for next year tax returns so I have moving expenses, time to look for employment, and get some more schooling done.  I actually called an allergy specialist in the Prescott area, he told me how bad allergies are there, but I am not allergic to the pollens that are high in that area.  With the lower humidity, he said dust mite and mold allergies are almost non existent, that is my major health problem.
From What I have read, and been told by a friend who lives nearby, it sounds like I will like the political climate of  AZ.  I am a conservative, gun toting hunter.
I would like to know more about the upland bird hunting in the Prescott area, and the deer hunting ( special draw only right?).  Is a .223 legal to hunt with in AZ?  It is the only rifle I have that my kid can handle for deer.
I do not plan to come to the area with out being useful to the economy, I do PC repair, have been a general contractor, and even repair western saddles and build custom leather holsters.  I hope this is enough skills for gainful employment until I finish my IT degree.

Upland bird hunting:  Have to go down into the valley a bit for doves, quail is pretty much everywhere. Essentially no pheasants in the state. You can go to the AZ Game and Fish website for species distribution maps.

Deer is draw for rifle, bow is an over the counter tag. Don't know about caliber restrictions.
