Hey all,

My wife and I will be moving to Edmond to attend UCO after my stint in the Army. (All at Fort Polk, LA). I originally grew up in Claremore.

Can anyone recommend some decent places to live within the city? Prefer as close to campus as possible.

TIA

Edmond has a lot of nice places, you should have no trouble finding something.  I don't know the city neighborhoods well enough to pick specific areas.

There are all kinds of places near the campus you can rent. Look into the married housing that the college has available. It might be less expensive but it won't be "ritzy".

We lived behind the Y for our first two years in town. Nice, quiet duplex neighborhood but traffic on 15th was pretty nasty on occasion. We moved into a larger house off Memorial & Bryant. Great neighborhood and no more traffic woes. Mike Taylor at Taylor Realty Co. manages a lot of rental properties in Edmond.

Don't know if your looking to rent or buy, but I use to live on Stonepoint Drive.  It's off of Coltrane between 15th and 2nd street.  About 2 miles from the college.  Mainly 2 story townhouses.   Most of the places are homeowners, but I've seen several of them rented out as well.  Good luck!

Rent close to the campus, unless we can get an awesome deal in OKC or a surrounding community.
