Same here. We heard a thump against the storm door, and when I looked out on the front porch I was actually kind of bummed out because I like those Pileateds. I still had to step out and take a couple pics though. This was back when Martini Butt was here and keeping her feeders going out front, so it was fairly common for birds to die against our door (usually finches). She cried about this one, and made me bury it, rather than my normal toss-in-the-creek disposal method. |
