First off, I'd like to apologize for my behavior here in the Texas Hometown Forum, and to anyone I have snapped at like a complete asshole over the last little while.
I'm still a fairly recent transplant to the DFW area, and not to go into a whole lot of detail, my bad days have far outnumbered my good days these last couple of years. I'm dealing with it the best I can, but sometimes the black dog days get out of control and I act a fool. No excuses, but it sure don't help matter much, and I end up feeling even worse afterward. It's a vicious circle that I'm working hard to break, so please bear with me. I think I'm gonna take a break from the internet for a while. Y'all be safe, and have a Merry Christmas. |

Right or wrong, you never need to "take your ball and go home." Just take things in stride. If you truly fuck up, well, it's just a bunch of dudes talking on the internet. Being wrong, or having others think you are wrong has little relevance to who you are. How you handle it is who you are. "Get back on the horse" "Pull yourself up by the bootstraps" "Carpe Diem" "Fuck bitches, get money" and all that jazz.

I charged a home owner for a few service calls where his neighbor supposedly had an "electric fence" keeping his 3 large dogs at bay going ape shit about 10 feet from my van door where I had to park while at the customer's house. I did not know about the "electric fence", nor did I care when I was told about it. I went in and did the work after the dogs were kept inside. I got my previous service call money as well. As an adult-life-long sufferer of BPD, please seek out treatment. I suffered for years thinking I could fix myself. I can't. You can't.
There are some very good psychiatrists out there. Therapy is improved and meds are effective with few side-effects. I reclaimed my life following several suicide attempts. Today, my life is so good. You can have a good one, too. |
