Ever since the new federal ruling passed, I know much didn’t really change for Ohioans. Did anything at all get easier? For example, are there still long waits for NFA items, or did all of that go away? I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere. |
| Three months ago, my suppressor transfer, as an individual, was approved in one day. Other buyers are reporting a few days to a week. Trust transfers take longer because ATF has to check the trust paperwork. None of that has anything to do with the $0 stamp change. Several months ago, ATF changed their procedures for handling NFA paperwork so a holdup for one person doesn't cascade into everyone else. I haven't heard anything MG or DD transfers, but I think those aren't much faster than the bad old days. |

About the same as suppressors unless its from an old collector and not in the eforms system. But if you buy one from a dealer it shouldn't take more than a few days. My suppressor transfers have gone from an average of 4 days to an average of 2 since many states/shops arent submitting form 4s now. So they can get to processing them quicker. I had my compliance check on monday and the IOI was speculating that there may be some job reassignments in the WV NFA branch |
