Does anyone know if you can have a currently owned Lower Receiver Designated and SBR as a civilian or do I have to take it to a Class II Manufacturer? In other words can I have the NFA Branch at ATF designate a lower currently owned by me into an SBR either on a form 1 or form 4? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks A lot guys

you can just form 1 it

no manufacturer necessary

(you personally are techincally the manufacturer of an SBR in this case)

Fill out ATF Form 1, get CLEO sign-off (skip this if you have a trust), send in form to ATF w/ $200 check, receive stamp, mount short barrel upper to it, enjoy.

Don't forget to get the lower engraved with your name/address, or trust name.
