| I sent off to New Hampshire on 11/25 for my CC non-resident permit and received it back on 12/5, approximately 11 days which is pretty damn fast. NH covers 21 states, 6 more than Minnesota's permit, and both Dakotas which I wanted since I hunt in both states. It costs $20 and is good for 4 years. |
anyone interested in printing out their non-resident application the website is http://webster.state.nh.us/safety/nhsp/plupr.html |

FYI, according to an email I recieved from the state of SD, you do not even need to apply for any kind of non-resident permit there so long as you have a legal ccw from another state: Here's the wording: We do not have a non-resident permit since we honor permits issued by other states. However, you are still obligated to follow SD laws such as having your permit in your possession and not carrying into schools, courthouses or establishments where more than 50% of their proceeds come from the sale of alcohol. Also, you cannot carry on a motorcycle. Below is the statute concerning out of state permits. You can review our gun laws at the Secretary of State's website. 23-7-7.4. Nonresident permit to carry concealed pistol--Validity in South Dakota-- Application. Any valid permit to carry a concealed pistol, issued to a nonresident of South Dakota, is valid in South Dakota according to the terms of its issuance in the state of its issue, but only to the extent that the terms of issuance comply with any appropriate South Dakota statute or promulgated rule. However, if the holder of such a nonresident permit to carry a concealed pistol becomes, at any time, a legal resident of South Dakota, the provisions of this section no longer apply.
