The scope needed adjustment out of the box. I'm still working on getting it right. It shoots fine though. It doesn't eject the round as it should every time. I've run CCI & Federal bulk through it so far & it's done it with both so I don't know if it's just these 2 brands it hates or if it's the gun. |

I opted for no birdcage whatsoever. Shoots well, but since there are no 25+ yard ranges in North PCRNJ, I can't really tell how accurate. And a Norinco 982 Hawk shotgun. +1 on rimfirecentral. I'm willing to get the guide rods are a little bound up by the screws behind them being too tight. It's an easy fix, that's listed on the linked site. |
Not your typical "Black Rifle", just early 20th century technology with a bit of modernization... Its a 1940's BRNO Czech Mauser 98k. It wasn't chopped by me, but I rescued it and have given it a good home where its warm from constant usage. I've installed a Timney Trigger and its one of the nicest triggers I own in all of my rifles...  With the "Cooper Scout Rifle" concept going on, it can still accomodate stripper clips for fast charging, and it allows for some really good peripherial vision abilities having the scope "scout" mounted.  Its a Tasco Custom LER Scope, 2x-8x, and its turret adjustments are very positive and its never lost its zero. The harris bipod jumps around on a few of my rifles and it works really well on this Ramline stocks sling swivel stud. When you touch off a round of Turk 8mm surplus in this rifle, its quite a shock-and-awe experience with the barrel cut down and recrowned to around 18"

My Bushy that doesn't see much range time anymore but do like walking into my gun room and seeing it displayed on the shelf. I am thinking of bringing it out for the Pine Barrens Assault Rifle Match next month just for the fun of it but it weighs a lot. Not an easy gun to swing around.

Just completed. Wow.  Adco Cruiser upper, CMT b/bc with extractor upgrades Cavarms HG's, Phantom FH Cardinal forge carry handle (unknown manufacturer). Preban PWA lower (re-anodized by someone VERY professional!) Internals came with it (great great trigger, good deal come to think of it!) Ace entry stock that another arfkommer painted to match Ace 1" buttpad (std is too short) G27 (not pictured) Magpul trigger guard (not pictured) |

GREAT mount idea you have there. I find even an SPR-E doesn't get it as far as I'd like it. Looks like you got it a bit further than that... What's that - hahn? Is it longer than SPR-E or not? |

I have never handled a SPR-E so I could not comment with certainty, though from pictures, it does seem that I can get it more forward than with the LaRue. It's a 6" YHM riser with medium rings. Gets the job done and I have alot more adjustment ability than with a LaRue mount. It would be better if the rings were QR, but other than that I am pretty happy with it. |

Just completed this... Chris Butler AK-USA Bulgarian AK74 on a OOW Reciever (properly heat treated by Chris) Not sure of the FCG mfg, but its beyond light and short for the pull on it...amazing and good for shoulder-bump firing. FSE polymer fake folder FSE buttstock rubber piece Kobra Optic 3-point sling, same model as used by my buddy in the Corps on their M4's Probably my favorite rifle ive got... this or my Chinese UF in 7.62 would be my go-to rifles in a SHTF situation.  my Polish AK vest, loaded with AK74 mags and Russian 7n6 5.45 ammo...
