Just had a short conversation with the NRA about Sundays CSR Competition.
I would like to enter but given the weather forecast at present asked that if on Sunday morning the possible snow and ice that I might find ahead of me on a 200 mile trip to Bisley made it, as advised by the Police, not an essential journey would I get either my entry fee refunded or, preferably, a credit for the next CSR Match. Unfortunately the answer was that unless the NRA cancelled the match I would lose my entry fee, an unreasonable response from them in my view. They have however, decided, after another rather longer and heated phone call decide to give me a credit if I cannot make it due to the weather. |

If you'd bought a couple of tickets to an event at Wembly, and then not gone because of the weather, you're not going to get a refund... |

Sorry have to totally disagree, its not Wembley, its a small competition that needs our support in a dysfunctional small organisation that desperately needs to encourage more people to join. Basically the initial attitude was if you can't make it tough shit you lose your money, rather than we would really like you to support this and we will see what we can do given the effort you are prepared to make on our behalf by entering. And, as your arrangements are different, if you didn't make it would not put you out of pocket would it. |

I'm supposed to be going "up North" to the theatre tomorrow night on an organised coach trip. It's looking likely to be cancelled with no refund on the theatre ticket at £47 I understand your frustration, but again I don't think its the same, you've already paid and are not expected to lie in a freezing puddle or do two upper body work outs. |

You've obviously never been to Glastonbury then |

Ask them if they wil credit you for the next shoot That was my initial request, if I can't make it due to the weather would you be prepared to refund, or preferably give me a credit towards the next match. The initial answer was no. But, after further heated discussion, they have decided to make an exception. |

Forecast for Stoke on Trent & Stafford for later tonight is -6C and fog. M6 in freezing fog?Decision made I think! |

I was asked this morning whether we wished to cancel.
I told them we'd make a decision about lunchtime tomorrow. The problem apparently is the roads around Bisley. The M3 is single lane between the M25 & M27, Queens Rd was close this morning and the road from camp to Pirbright bend and the Brookwood canal was practically undriveable. I think we'll be ok for Sunday though |
