Received in email from NRA...... "SSAFA are attempting to purchase a 6 bedroom house in the town of Ashtead, Surrey, so that relatives can stay locally whilst visiting their injured loved ones (UK Service personnel from Iraq & Afghanistan). These Servicemen (& women) are in the nearby rehabilitation centre, RAF Headley Court, for months or even years at a time. It is essential that the families can get a local facility NOW, so that they can visit Headley Court & help in the long-term rehabilitation of their loved ones. There are some issues over the planning application, which is being contested by some local residents & therefore the planning application has been recommended for refusal. You can help change this decision, due to be discussed at the forthcoming Council Planning Meeting on 01 August by going to the website listed, & following the links at the top of the webpage." Have a look here: www.36grayslane.co.uk/ ETA: Some of the objections are ridiculous....
