So I got my permit in the mail yesterday from Washoe Sheriff.  Two months, one week turnaround time.  I have a question for those in the know.....   I qual'd with my Glock 23 that I've since converted to 9mm.  Can I still carry the 23 as a 9mm, or do I need to re-qual with the 9mm barrel since it's a different caliber now?

TIA for any info you might have....

You will need to requalify since it's now a 9mm.  State law is referring to MAKE, MODEL, and CALIBER.  If any of the 3 are different, you will need to qualify with the firearm.  I know... it sucks but that's how the state law is written.  I'm in Clark Co so if I were you, your best bet would be to contact the Washoe Co Sheriff's office for the correct answer.

Hope this helps.

You are correct.  For all intents and purposes, a .40 converted to a 9mm is a NEW GUN in the eyes of the state and must be treated as such on the permit.
