Whats everyone doing to prepare? Anyone fortifying at home? Anyone gonna book it if something happens? Just curious if i'm the only one who bought plastic sheets, duct tape, food, ammo, and KIO3 for me and my cats? |

Following the Northridge earthquake we put together an "Earthquake Kit". In it we have food and clothing to sustain us for a week. We also have everything from first aid kits, radios, batteries, solar charger etc. Since half our windows were "blown" out in the earthquake, we already had plastic sheeting and duct tape as well. I also keep our camping equipment stored in 4 of those large rubbermaid storage bins. I keep it packed like this for easy storage but it sure makes it easy to load. If the need ever came, we could be loaded up and on our way very quickly. It is very comforting to know this stuff is all there in one place and ready to go. Oh, I almost forgot, 7000 rnds of ammo should be arriving from J&G tomorrow. |
Gee, I am sorry if I scared anyone.....those 7000 rounds include 4 separate calibers and 3 of us went in together to save on shipping. Everyone feel better?? |

i know this is gonna sound demented, but i almost want somthing wide scale in the U.S. to happen, just so all the liberals can see how the responable gun owners react by arming themselfs and hunting down istic s. then we can all see how and why gun owners are good for the community. everyone is freaking out over the new security level. its nothing new guys, YES we are going to WAR. yes people will get killed. YES gas prices will rise. NOTHING new to the U.S. so lets get in and get out and move on to Korea and do the same thing. all the preperation i need is my loaded guns. to take out as many ists as i can then retreat to ETH's farm for more ammo...and resupply to go back out in the field! die basterds die!!!!! |

Rick, you're right. UPS guys are cool and all they ever bring to our doors is goodness! Interesting thoughts on preparedness. I too lived through the Northridge quake (lived in Burbank at the time) and we all went through that whole "doom on you" phase. Laughably, my folks, who lived closer to the epicenter, kept a loaded suitcase in the trunk of their car for months and months after that. |
| Well, I've never really gotten "ready" for anything before but I will be going out this weekend and buying tons of bottled water, about (4) 5 gallon gas cans, which gives me a 400 mile range in my truck. I am also keeping my gas tank filled and will be putting my AR with 5 loaded mags under back seat. |

Well, come pick me up in Reno ;) I'm going to stock up on water, but i also picked up a water filtration unit, so all i need to do is find a source of H2O and i should be ok. 1200 rounds of 5.56, 3 days of MREs, week of cans, water, and a rucksack... God help us all if something happens... |
| Does anyone think it will be crazy to hit up the National Guard base up near 215 and I-15? I mean they are going to have tons of M193 around, as well as other necessary supplies. If, during a national emergency, we rolled up looking for supplies, they might be inclined to pass the ammo. |

Where do you work? As far as i know, from my time in the guard, we cant give items away because every round needs to be accounted for. I realize that sounds silly, but if we give away bullets and never go to combat... they are going to start wondering where all the ammo went! The national guard units may have supplies given to them by FEMA and/or the state, but you're looking at food and water... |
The Pyramid Indian Reservation will beat ya' to it.....besides what will you do with 30,000+ Idiots during Burning Man???.Good Luck Boston. Hiwathl |
