I bought an optic from someone, a fellow Georgian, from within the EE. I have sent payment, it has been received and cashed (personal check). Said person said he will ship the optic to me but that was over ten days ago. I've attempted to contact him numerous times via email to no avail. I'm kind unnerved and more than little pissed off. Before I blast his name here I wanted to know what recourse I might have. The total cost for this was $325 and I was hoping to have it prior to going back to Afghanistan so now I'm without both and before I just say "suck it up" I'm going to try other other avenues of getting either the money or the optic.
Ideas? |

Always pay with USPS money orders in the future. If they rip you off, you can sick the postal inspectors on them for mail fraud. Nobody wants someone to go postal on them. For sure.
I hope you get your optic or your money back. Make sure they only ship using FedEx or UPS so you get shipping confirmation and active tracking. The USPS tracking sucks. |

I seriously doubt you'll have much luck getting the Postal Inspector involved for $325.00 even if he would have paid with a USPS MO. Assistance from local LEO would be a more likely option. Getting assistance from the Postal Inspector seems to be more myth than fact. I've heard of several incidents where people attempted to get assistance from a Postal Inspector and none received any help what so ever. I'm sure there are many instances where the Postal Inspector has went to work on a victim's behalf but I've yet to hear about it. Godd luck Kudzu.. TD |
| Post his username. Someone here may know him and if there is a situation or not with that individual and they could contact you via PM. I know a member on here whose computer went tits up and they just had their baby two days ago. Spoke with him and he made mention that he had to get stuff to the Post Office that he had sold on here. It could be him. |

Kudzu PM'ed me the guy. I really think it to be a non issue. The guy is a stand up dude and we all know him here and some know him very well. I know he will have a good explanation to what happened.
Kudzu....I think you'll be fine. I'd give him til Monday if you can. |

It was me fellas. The optic got tossed in the back seat of my truck and I just simply forgot about it in the rush of getting ready for the holidays. Then we left for vacation. This morning is the first time I have been online in almost 2 weeks.
I have replied to Kudzu's email and the optic will ship out today as soon as I can get away from work. I always pride myself in fast shipping if I sell anything. I seriously dropped the ball on this one. Kudzu, again, I am sorry. You will have your optic ASAP. For the couple emails I had and for a few of you standing up for me, I thank you. |

It got "there" but the delivery man didn't leave it at the door or drop it off at our apartment office... they're tricky sometimes. I've had far more expensive stuff left on my door step which was not to my liking but oh well.
Glad it got straightend out... I'll be testing it out at my first range we go to when I get back home. My plan is to burn through our annual allotment of training ammo so that they can request more next year. |
